Saint Augustine is such a great place to do some ghost hunting since it is the oldest continuously occupied European-established settlement in the continental United States. There is so much reported paranormal activity within St. Augustine.
Here are some pictures and the story to go along with them, from one of my many trips up there in north eastern Florida.
These photos were taken by me during a night trip to Castillo de San Marcos. Nothing is edited except for an enlargement of one photo so you can see it more up close. Our meters were going a bit crazy and you can feel the history surrounding this place, it was a great place to investigate.
You can see many different orbs all around parts of the fort in many different pictures. But the main photo is what is of particular interest. There is one photo you can see which I have enlarged to also give you a better view. It seems to be a person sitting on the edge of the wall overlooking the river. You can’t see a head on them but you can definitely see it was the shape of a person.
This image was not noticed until after reviewing the pictures the next day. The thing is we were the only people allowed on the property at that time of the night and we know for sure there was no one sitting there at the time of the photo because they would have been noticed because 30 seconds after that shot we walked to the wall to see the river.. There is no way anyone could have gotten away without us seeing them in that time unless they jumped into the river and we would have heard them. They would have had to go right past us to leave that area, there was only one way in or out from that wall. It was quite a surprise to us all when we noticed this in the photos.
